H E L L O !

I’m Taylor, thanks for showing your support by visiting my site. Since I was young, I’ve loved drawing my own illustrations. At age five, to the amusement of my parents, I officially designated a “craft table” in our living room. Around the same time, as my peers were watching cartoons, I was stuck to the screen watching HGTV and DIY Network. Naturally, it was no surprise to anyone that after high school I went to the University of Texas at Austin, to study architecture.

My education and time in Austin have consistently broadened my horizons and challenged me as an artist. Thanks to going to college in the Southwest, Mission Revival and contemporary Mexican architecture styles have had a major impact on me, particularly the works of Luis Barragan, Ricardo Legorreta, and to a certain degree, Irving Gill. Having the privilege to study abroad, was equally as influential. Specifically, Scandinavia, with its rich history in interior design, and minimalist, yet cozy, aesthetic. Today, I am a designer at a residential interior design firm in Los Angeles. You will see reoccurring themes of vintage furniture and desert architecture in my illustrations.
